Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information CustomsWise collects, why, and what we do with it. CustomsWise is the data fiduciary for the information described here.
1. What we collect

2. What we do not collect
We never see your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, bank credentials or any other payment instrument. Those go directly to our payment gateway, which is certified to handle them. We receive only the result of the payment.
3. Who else handles your information
We use a small number of service providers, each for a specific job:
- A payment gateway, which takes your payment and holds the payment record.
- A cloud database provider, which stores your account, your notes and your progress.
- A content delivery network, which serves the pages and the videos.
- An email provider, which carries mail between you and us.
Each is engaged under contract and may process your information only on our instructions. We do not name them here, but we will tell you who they are on request, and we will tell you if we change one.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We disclose it otherwise only where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
4. Where it is held
Your account data is held on servers in India. Some providers named above may process data outside India in the course of running their service.
5. How long we keep it
- Account and study records: while your account is active, and for one year after it lapses, so you can return without losing your notes.
- Invoices and payment records: eight years, as tax law requires.
- Technical logs: 90 days.
6. Your choices
Write to [email protected] and we will, within 30 days:
- tell you what we hold about you;
- correct anything wrong;
- send you a copy of your notes and progress;
- delete your account and personal data, except invoices we are required to keep.
Deleting your account ends your access and does not by itself entitle you to a refund.
7. Email we send you
We send email about your account, your payment and your access. We will only send you anything promotional if you ask for it, and every such message carries a way to stop them.
8. Cookies and browser storage
We use browser storage to keep you signed in, to remember where you were reading, and to hold your preferences such as text size. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not allow third parties to track you across other sites.
9. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to the database is restricted and your material is readable only by you. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your data we will tell you promptly and say what happened.
10. Children
CustomsWise is intended for adults preparing for a professional examination. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
11. Changes
If we change this policy materially we will email you. The date at the top shows the current version.
