Terms and Conditions

Last updated 5 October 2026

These terms govern your use of customswise.app (“CustomsWise”, “the site”). By creating an account or making a payment you accept these terms.

1. What CustomsWise provides

CustomsWise is study and reference material on Indian customs law: explainer videos, the text of Acts, Rules and Regulations, CBIC circulars and notifications, case law summaries, HSN and tariff information, and practice questions for the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations examination.

2. It is not legal advice

Nothing on CustomsWise is legal, financial or professional advice, and no relationship of adviser and client arises between us. The material is prepared for study. Law changes, and our copies may lag behind the official text. Before acting on anything — filing, claiming an exemption, answering a notice — check the official source and, where the matter is significant, take professional advice. We state the source of each provision so you can do so.

3. No promise about exam results

We do not guarantee that you will pass the CBLR examination, or any other examination, and we have no connection with NACIN, CBIC or any examining authority. Syllabus, pattern and dates are set by them and may change.

4. Your account

  • An account is personal to one named individual. Do not share your login, and do not let anyone else use your access.
  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Give us accurate details when you register, and keep your email address current — it is how we reach you.
  • Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe someone else has access to your account.

5. What you may and may not do

You may use the material for your own study and professional work, including printing pages for your own use.

You may not:

  • download, record, re-upload or redistribute the videos, or show them to groups or classes;
  • copy the explanations, notes or questions into another product, course or publication;
  • sell, rent, share or resell your access;
  • use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download the site;
  • attempt to break, probe or circumvent the site's security, or disrupt it for other users.

The bare text of Acts, Rules, Regulations, notifications and judgments is government material and we claim no rights in it. Our explanations, videos, questions, notes and the arrangement of the site are ours.

6. Payment, GST and access periods

  • Prices are shown on the Pricing page, exclusive of GST, with the GST-inclusive amount shown alongside. GST is charged at 18%.
  • Payments are taken through a certified payment gateway. We never see or store your card or bank details.
  • A GST invoice is sent to your registered email address.
  • Exam package access ends on 20 March 2027 regardless of when you joined, and may be extended to 30 June 2027 on payment of the extension fee. Reference package access runs 12 months from purchase.
  • When access ends, so does your ability to sign in. We do not pro-rate or carry over unused time.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the site running at all times but cannot promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, failures at our hosting or database providers, and problems with your own connection can all interrupt access. We do not compensate for short interruptions. If an outage is long enough to materially deprive you of what you paid for, write to us and we will extend your access by a fair period.

8. Suspending or ending access

We may suspend or end your access without refund if you share your account, redistribute the material, abuse the site or other users, or pay by means later found to be fraudulent. We will tell you why, and where the breach is minor and fixable we will ask you to fix it first.

You may stop using the site at any time. Refunds are governed by the Cancellation and Refunds Policy.

9. Limits on our liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit or opportunity, or for any loss arising from a decision you took on the basis of the study material. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will email the address on your account at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction.
